Many people complain that they do not get enough support in life. Are you hesitant to do good because you don’t get approval?
Do you think people are not supportive when you are trying to do good to society? Many people complain why I can’t get the support or recognition?
It is only natural that others do not come forward to acknowledge your good deeds. It is absolutely free for everyone to approve or support good things done by others and recognize their efforts. It is not our need to gain someone else’s time or favorable opinion. On the other hand, if you have a good conviction that you are doing good things, if you do something with the expectation of good results for others, then just keep doing those actions. Remember, often the results might be just the opposite of what you expect. Keep doing what you are doing and don’t get discouraged.
When the sun sends its rays of heat and light to the earth, it does not ensure in advance that they will all be useful. Some people use only its light while others use its heat. The result of an action will vary based on the recipient. Therefore, after doing good in this world, there is no need to complain that others did not support us and did not give us approval. If you do good, you will surely get the result, if not today, definitely tomorrow. The results of goodness, recognition and fame will come to you without leaving any doubt.
Have a good mind that does not hesitate to do good, not doubting the result.

I think small and simple gestures like acknowledgement can create meaningful changes. It simply validates other person’s feelings and demonstrates one’s understanding. That being said,it doesn’t mean you agree with the other person. For someone who is down I think it can help to develop trust. I was just thinking about it from a different angle.
On the other hand as you said we can still keep doing the best things even without getting acknowledged.
But for someone like me talking to someone who understands me and getting acknowledged was very important to open up and take my life seriously.
Thank you
