Everyone makes mistakes at some point in life. Similarly, there is no one who does not feel angry with another. There are people who keep the anger long term in their mind as a grudge without erasing it from their mind at the right time.
Anger is a human emotion. So it is not a mistake. But everyone has a limit to how many number of anger they can hold in their mind. Some people can hold up to 4 and others up to 5 angry incidents without expressing it. If we didn’t get rid of the anger that we hold in the past, it can cause us to explode with a small incident. If the last person who made us angry was our spouse or children, then all the anger we had held so far offload together upon the last person. This situation can lead to personal problems, alienation from others, and family problems.
No matter whom we are angry with, it only affects us. So the anger kept inside makes our mind restless and slowly affects the body as a disease. Studies proved that unattended long term mental problems can lead to depression and slowly lead to acute diseases such as cancer and heart disease.
We can get rid of this big problem if we develop the habit of forgiving. A forgiving person does not become cheap but grows mentally and avoids major diseases. Forgiving those who make us angry is the same process as asking for forgiveness from those we have made them angry.
I pray you have a good heart that can forgive.
