How to Learn?

Everybody wants to learn but does not know how to study well. Do you feel you are not capable of learning? Do you believe your weaknesses are preventing you from learning?

Many students complain about their teachers, schools, facilities, bad situations, inexperienced parents, health problems, mental weaknesses, and family problems for making lower grades. The grades are just a number for that one exam. The big exam is your life, not the one you find difficult because of hard questions. So, always learn for life, not for the exams or certificates. You may have some inexperienced teachers, complex topics to learn, or degraded colleges, but none of these will affect your life. When you have a weakness in one area, you should be able to overcome it with the strength in another. If you are willing, you can find a solution to your problems.

There are two steps in learning. First, learn how to learn and understand the mechanical part of learning, the techniques of reading, writing, comprehending, etc.. Secondly, understanding the content from books, teachers, others, and your experiences. When you are in school or college, the primary objective is to train your brain using the technical aspects of learning. When your brain is capable, you can study any topic you like. You may find many weaknesses are holding you back from achieving higher grades or good positions. When you are determined to gain knowledge or practice something against your inability, you should find the solution to overcome those shortcomings. You are not supposed to be defeated by your inabilities because you are more powerful than you think. Learning should be for understanding how to live happily rather than consuming the content in the book. When you read a book or attend a class, always try to absorb the author’s or teacher’s experience in those topics.

Learning is a continuous and lifelong process. There is no shortcut to learning. Crash learning on the previous night of the exams does not help much, but studying daily and revising it before the exams. Every person has some strengths and weaknesses. First, identify your weaknesses and find resources, training, or techniques to overcome them. Reading, writing, communicating, analyzing, summarizing, comprehending, visualizing, manifesting, and mental math all need cognitive capacities. You can develop all these capabilities by applying the necessary neuroplastic cognitive exercises. Do not feel bad about yourself when others can progress ahead of you. Your strengths are excellent, and you need to develop and excel in your life. When you learn the right way, you never have to unlearn and relearn it. Slow and steady growth is more powerful. Search for help when you are not able to fix your problems.

Your certificates help you for the first job. When you are ready to work in any job, finding a job is a piece of cake. What matters after that is your knowledge, experience, ability to accept challenges, positive mindset to adapt to new things, and the power to make decisions to try new jobs. No employers pay for your life. The salary is for the time you work for the organization. Job is not your primary responsibility. It should be your responsibility for your office hours. After office hours, you should switch to your personal life, nourish it, and enjoy it.

Education should improve your character and behavior in addition to the knowledge in a subject. When you learn more, you should be humbler.
